Recreating a native habitat has been a dream of mine since I was about 18. It only took me 20 years, but I finally have two acres of land in the country with which to work (and play). My goal is to document the improvements I make to the property: restoring habitat & attracting birds and butterflies in addition to other wildlife.
Just the back yard!? Nah, I want the front and side yards landscaped in natives too.

May Flowers
...Okay, I know, I threw in some leaves and ferns with the flowers.
Such beautiful pictures! Went for a walk on Saturday with Karl at Buffalo River State Park (some lovely prairie land trails to walk) and saw some Columbine (yet to bloom) and tiny little patches of Spring Beauties (always one of my favorites)! They made me think of you! :) Miss you! Hope you're doing well!
I'm glad you got to see some wildflowers on your walk. I love Spring Beauties, too. I recently went to a native plant sale and bought two pots of Spring Beauties along with some others. I hope they grow for me and *spread*.
